Coding the Architecture London User Group
Following on from our successful The Pragmatic Java Architect sessions earlier in the year, we're pleased to announce the "Coding the Architecture London User Group". The user group will run monthly, with each event being an unconference style session or presentation, followed by some refreshments at a local bar.
To stick with the coding the architecture theme, you can expect to hear lots about the role of the software architect, experiences with software architecture definition and delivery, architecture case studies, etc. As with the content we write for the site, our aim is that the user group appeals to aspiring and experienced architects alike, with content that's technical but not necessarily right down at the lowest level of detail. If you think it's okay for software architects to code, this user group is for you.
Ultimately, we'd like to build a community of software architects in London, creating a forum in which aspiring architects can learn about what it means to be a software architect and experienced architects can share ideas with one another. If you're wondering exactly what a software architect does and how to embark on your first software architecture role, come along. Likewise, if you have something you think others will find interesting and want to present (e.g. your first architecture experiences, a case study of an architecture you've been involved with, etc), please get in touch.
The first session will be taking place in September. Stay tuned for more details.
